What ages are allowed to participate?
We currently register boys and girls ranging from ages of 5-14.
What league do the Eagles belong to?
Eagles football and cheer are a part of Pop Warner which is the largest youth football league in the nation. It is the ONLY league that recognizes the academic achievements of our participants by hosting Little Scholar Banquet to those students who maintain a 96% or above GPA during the school year.
What do the Eagles offer?
In our program we have Instructional/Competitive football and cheer, flag football and 7-on-7.
Do the Eagles offer FREE camps?
No, however, there are three annual camps that are held in our communities, the Robbins Park District, as well as the Calumet Park District each offer a 1-week drill and fundamental camp during the month of July. Also, one of our sponsors, Pineapple Dream Vacations, along with the Calumet Park Recreation Center offer a one-day camp. More information on both will be posted soon, check the "Camps" tab.
What is included in registration cost?
Click here for registration details for Football, Cheer and Dance. Please note registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will only be issued if there is no team for the registered player.
What additional items need to be purchased?
Football players will need to supply their own helmets, girdles, athletic cup and cleats. Game socks can be purchased from the organization. Cheerleaders and Dancers will have to purchase and/or fundraise for their shoes.
Where are practices held?
Our practices are held in Robbins and Calumet Park. Your child's coach will provide the exact location and schedule.
Where are home games played?
Our home field is at Father Sylvester Field, located at 128th and South Wood St in Calumet Park.
When does the season start?
The first official day of practice is August 1st. Our first game is usually the last weekend in August or the first weekend in September, a complete schedule will be posted.
How many games do the teams play?
There are a minimum 8 regular season games, then a 4-week playoff schedule begins.
How many home games do the Eagles play?
AYF tries to schedule at least 3-5 home games per team.
How far do the Eagles travel?
Depending on who our opponents are we might travel as little as 15 minutes or at the very most 2 hours. If a team wins regional, we may travel as far as Naples, Florida to play the championship game(s).
